For the last 21 years, Rock N Rollz Nashville co-owner Zito has been working as a production manager in the music industry, coordinating concerts for artists like OneRepublic, Ariana Grande, Blink 182, Sia, Backstreet Boys, and Josh Groban. His pink-haired wife Christin has spent the last 15 years as a hair & makeup artist, serving A-level celebrities on the red carpet and at commercial photo shoots. But when the pandemic hit, both Zito and Christin found themselves out of work.
Like most Americans, Zito and Christin weren't sure what they were going to do to pay their bills and maintain their livelihoods. Then, on Easter Sunday, which happened to be a "cheat day" for the couple, a baked cinnamon roll became the catalyst to a  deliciously lucrative way to earn a living during the pandemic.

As Zito explains, "We decided to make sourdough cinnamon rolls… and damn were they good! Christin posted a photo on her personal Instagram account and was flooded with comments. So, we decided to bake some and sell them to our neighbors. That first day we sold 60. The next week we decided to sell again and had 80 orders. We freaked out, shut down the order form and went and bought more Pyrex! The following week we had 120 orders… same freak out, same trip to buy more Pyrex. That’s when we realized we had something special."
Rock N Rollz Nashville is now Zito and Christin's main source of income and continues to grow in popularity every day. Since Zito has such a passion for the music business, and the duo wanted a way to give back to the community, they decided to donate $.50 from every cinnamon roll sale to MusiCares. The organization provides support to musicians and touring professionals during times of crisis.

Because Rock N Rollz Nashville operates as a pop up bakery, there is no physical location. And due to the use of sourdough starter that is used to bake the rolls, all orders must be placed in advance. Sourdough starter requires a 24-hour minimum to feed and activate before it can be used for baking. The baking process then takes an additional 12 hours.

Orders for cinnamon rolls can be placed beginning at 5:00 pm on Wednesdays until they are sold out. There is a 16 roll maximum per order. Once an order has been placed, it can picked up on the weekend at one of the bakery's pick up locations in East Nashville, Franklin, Mount Juliet, the Nations, and Murfreesboro. The pick up location address is sent via text/email once the order has been completed. The pick up times vary between locations and are as follows:
  • Saturday morning pick ups in East Nashville: 10:00-11:00 am and Franklin 10:00 am-12:00 pm
  • Sunday pick ups in Mount Juliet: 10:00-11:00 am
  • Sunday pick ups in Murfreesboro and the Nations alternate, with Murfreesboro being the 1st and 3rd Sunday, and the Nations being the 2nd and last Sunday of the month
