Behind the Scenes With Rochelle Riser
A self-described folk/Americana artist, Rochelle Riser landed in Nashville nearly a decade ago, after being raised on a farm (a REAL farm!) in Iowa. She attended Belmont University with the intention of becoming a music teacher, but found a deeper calling as an artist and has been writing, recording and touring for several years.
Rochelle grew up listening to legendary artists like Carole King and Paul Simon, later discovering the brilliancy of The Beatles. She has been compared to female artists like Gillian Welch, Norah Jones and Stevie Nicks but incorporates elements of different genres and musical influences into her songs.
