Nashville's Most Eligible - Veterinarian Raena Rubenstein
Blonde, beautiful, intelligent. These are just a few words used to describe Raena Rubenstein. The 26-year-old is a South Carolina native and veterinarian who recently moved to the Nashville area. She attended veterinary school in Knoxville and played both intramural ultimate Frisbee and football while there. In other words, she's a total catch! Lucky for all the single guys, she's currently available.
However, that doesn't mean that a woman of her caliber is easy to win over. As a veterinarian, Raena has a busy schedule that makes dating challenging - especially in a new city. Unless you're Henry Cavill or Alexander Ludwig, chances are you'll have to work for Raena's time and attention. |
Willing to do the work and want to know how to woo Raena? Read on, as she shares all the things she wants -and doesn't want- in a partner, as well as her dating do's and don'ts.
Let's start by having you share five fun facts about yourself.

TOP 3 MUST-HAVES IN A PARTNER
|
"I’m old school, I like the guy to be confident enough to make the first move."
What would you consider to be the ultimate dream date?
Being relatively new to the Nashville area, I would love to explore new restaurants or venues. I would love to see more of the city and the surrounding area to get to know it better. I am down for any new experience; those are just always more fun with someone to share it with.
Favorite places in Nashville so far?
I love Drake’s in the Cool Springs area, and the trampoline park Defy, and the axe throwing place BATL!
What are some things you enjoy doing- alone or with a partner?
I do still love to read books. Glad they aren’t textbooks anymore, haha! I haven’t had as much time as I would like to recently but it helps me relax. I enjoy teaching my parents' dogs (or any dogs) new tricks. Otherwise, I just love spending quality time with friends, whether that be going out to eat, going to music events in town, doing escape rooms, or watching Netflix.
Worst pick up line ever used- either by you, or on you?
Once I heard in my undergrad days: “Wait, do we have chemistry together?”

Online dating - yes or no? Why or why not?
I’ve tried it and had some success. It’s definitely a modern way of meeting new people. But I think nothing beats face-to-face introductions and talking in person.
Biggest challenge(s) with modern dating?
Based on my personal experience, I think people’s schedules present a relatively big challenge to dating now. I know my own schedule changes often, and that can be difficult to work around.
Who should make the first move?
Personally, I’m old school, I like the guy to be confident enough to make the first move. This day and age though, I support whichever party is feeling confident enough to take that step!
Any lessons learned from past relationships?
One lesson I’ve taken away is that one should be excited to see their partner. I know relationships take work, but it shouldn’t feel like you have to be “on” all of the time or can’t relax around them.
