Meet the Rachel's Reptiles Family

When the word "pet" comes to mind, most of us think of dogs and cats; they are the most popular types of household pets. Not for animal lover Rachel, who is a manager at Nashville Adventure Park. She does have a furry pet or two, but most of her brood are part of the reptile family. This large group of brothers and sisters are Rachel's pride and joy, each with a unique story to tell.

Nova, 1

Picture
  • A Mexican black king snake that goes wild for mice
  • Does a mean rattlesnake impression when nervous
  • Sensitive and a bit of a scaredy cat (err...snake)

Fae, 1

Picture
  • Has a fairy-inspired named in honor of great-grandmother
  • Loves to sit by the window and watch the birds, but only from inside
  • Totally not a morning lizard

Tweezle, 2

  • Rips tail on everything so always needs new aquarium decorations
  • Most outgoing of all the siblings
  • Can't get enough blood worms

Stubs, 7

  • Leopard Gecko that mom rescued from a classroom
  • Loves wax worms
  • Prefers to be alone and relaxing like most introverts

The Forest

  • Madagascar hissing cockroaches that love carrots
  • Very shy but inquisitive
  • Hiss at mom when they are mad at her

  • Can stick nose in water and blow bubbles
