In an era where independent, successful women are becoming the norm rather than the exception, Connecticut native Jenny Leigh Miller has no trouble proving she's earned a spot at the "you go girl" table. After spending her earlier years singing around New England, her interest in world affairs inspired her to enlist in the military. It was through this life-changing experience she found her true calling. When Jenny's father sent her a Takamine guitar while she was deployed overseas, she learned how to play and spent many of her nights abroad performing for her fellow service members. Little did she know how much those performances would play a pivotal role in her future.
When Jenny returned home after deployment, she started writing original songs, which got rave reviews from music industry professionals in Nashville. This military veteran turned country singer was making more than just a dent in the country music scene - she earned three nominations at the Josie Music Awards. She then took her show on the road, performing up and down the east coast and making stops at various radio stations. Now she's well on her way to becoming a female country music icon.

Just in time for the holidays, Jenny has released her original Christmas song, "Christmas in Bora Bora." Written by Jenny, Justin Peters (who also acted as producer) and Steven Rupe, the song is a fun ditty that was inspired by Jenny's love of Christmas and of Bora Bora. Jenny explains, “I wanted a feel good song for those dreary, cold days. I just thought, what’s a cool melody and concept for Christmas that is different!”
In the official music video for the song, which was filmed in Nashville and directed by Dustin Alexander, footage from Jenny's own Bora Bora honeymoon was used. There is also an acoustic version of the video, which can be viewed exclusively (above) here on Behind Nashville. This version was filmed at the iconic Gaylord Opryland Resort, creating a tropical Christmas vibe that is reminiscent of Bora Bora island life.
