Behind the Scenes With Hope Clinic For Women
Facing an unplanned pregnancy can be scary. Even when a woman is open to having her baby, a lack of support and resources can lead her to question that decision. Hope Clinic For Women provides the support and resources that women need.
The faith-based clinic was established in 1983 as a safe and confidential place for women and families to receive medical care, professional counseling, relationship education classes, mentorship and practical support for dealing with life choices regarding pregnancy. Women who visit Hope Clinic are offered support both pre and post pregnancy, including counseling for pregnancy loss, post-abortion healing, and stillbirth grief support.

Hope Clinic For Women takes a merciful, non-judgmental approach to care and does not discriminate against age, race, religion, or ability to pay. The front lobby and counseling rooms are designed to make women feel safe, secure, and welcome. The office is situated downtown in a quaint, quiet, brick building that looks and feels more like a home than a pregnancy resource center. Staff, counselors, and nurses are available to women and their partners for moral, medical, and emotional support.
Hope Clinic For Women strives to give women hope by showing them it's possible to parent a child even in the midst of doubt and uncertainty. While the organization does hold a pro-life stance, they understand that ultimately, a woman has the right to make her own decisions. In order to assist women who choose life for their babies, Hope Clinic has an on-site maternity store. Women are able to earn points by taking the clinic's various parenting and relationship classes, and use those points to buy items from the store. Items include diapers, wipes, formula, baby clothes, car seats, and other necessities.
Women who go through the programs at Hope Clinic receive support and assistance for the first full year after their baby is born. Many women who graduate later become involved as mentors and volunteers for new women entering the clinic.
