Nashville's Most Eligible - Dance Teacher Brienne Barnett
Brienne Barnett is a 26-year-old unicorn. OK, not really. But she's a born and bred Nashvillian, and that's basically the same thing. Other than a few years away to study at the University of Tennessee, Nashville is home to this beauty.
After returning to Music City post college, Brienne worked as a dance teacher and choreographer, performing in music videos including "Flip My Hair" by Jessie James Decker. (Side note: none of the dancers were actually pregnant during filming.) Now she works at Vanderbilt Medical Center doing administration for the Department of Medicine, and teaches dance part-time in the evenings.
Her busy schedule doesn't leave much time for dating, but there is one man she's always got time for: Jesus. She is part of the launch team at a new church in Mt. Juliet called King & City and is looking for a man who shares the same love for the Lord. What else does Brienne want (or not want) in a partner? Keep reading to find out.

Besides these non-negotiables, Brienne also wants someone who desires to have kids, is driven and is self-motivated. Think you fit the bill? Here's what you need to know if you want to ask Brienne out.
As a Nashville native, you've got to have a list of favorite local hot spots. Where are we likely to find you around town?
I’ve been loving the Wedgewood- Houston area. It’s still small & cozy! Although, you can’t beat a stroll down 12 South when the sun is shining! Franklin Juice Co. is a must for a quick afternoon snack, and I’m a regular at Edley’s BBQ.
What are some things you enjoy doing, either alone or with a partner?
Obviously I love to dance! I enjoy working out, or really anything active. I like reading, finding new coffee shops (although caffeine makes me crazy) and trying new restaurants. In fact, I may or may not have a list of over 100 restaurants to try in Nashville organized by neighborhood. I also love live music and am always up for day hikes and kayaking (provided it’s warm - this TN girl doesn’t do the cold). And on Saturdays you can find me watching football or basketball. Go Vols!

Thoughts on online dating?
Eh, I’ve dabbled. It feels forced and laborious more often than not, but you never know!

Who should make the first move?
If they’re a stranger- the guy. If it’s an acquaintance, and I think there’s potential, I would be fine to reach out!
What have you found to be the biggest challenge(s) with modern dating?
Everyone’s either married or still raging on the weekends. I’m looking for something in between.

What would you consider to be the ultimate dream date?
I love food and trying new things, so take me to a new restaurant & I’m a happy girl. Afterward, we could walk around the city & just chat. I’m big on easy, but meaningful conversation! Fun fact: I have a pretty sweet coaster flipping trick I tend to use on first dates.
What's the worst pick up line ever used- either by you, or on you?
“You have a strong back.” …Thank you?? (That one was used on me, for the record)
Any lessons learned from past relationships?
Relying on someone else for your happiness and security will always fail, but Jesus never does.
