Behind the Scenes With Amy Gerhartz
Since Amy Gerhartz made the move from Atlanta to Nashville three years ago, she's been making a name for herself as one of the city's most talented (and successful) singer/songwriters. Her music career, which spans over a decade, has been on the upswing and isn't slowing down anytime soon. With a new EP out, she's ready to take 2019 by storm. The five song project, named for its track "Hold On," highlights Amy's unique voice and musicianship. You'll hear vocals that emulate artists like Ingrid Michaelson, Natalie Merchant, Dolores O'Riordan and Chantal Kreviazuk, and arrangements that have been influenced by Regina Spektor and Imagine Dragons.
Amy's catchy tunes, which have meaningful lyrics that inspire and entertain, showcase her skills as a songwriter, proving she's definitely on the path she's supposed to be on . The powerful message behind "Enough" is one that just might become an anthem for women worldwide, in the new year and beyond. |
Amy plans to spend time touring nationally in 2019, as well as promoting her new album and taking her love of positivity to new heights with a merchandise expansion. She continues to network and co-write around Nashville, with plans to book more local gigs in the near future.
Check out the full interview with Amy below, where she talks about the stories behind the songs on Hold On and discusses her reasons for wanting to explore Nashville more.
Side Note: She would be happy to have you join her for dinner at a local restaurant.
