Behind the Scenes With Artist Amanda Norman
From the time she started teaching her younger sister about "texture," Amanda Norman has been creating. She is an award-winning artist who earned her Bachelor's degree in Visual Art from Brown University. She also studied graphic design at The New School in New York City and learned about sculpture installation at RISD's Pont Aven School of Art in France.
Amanda paints in both acrylic and watercolor, specializing in abstract and impressionist methods. Her paintings are done on both paper and canvas and can be displayed in frames, shadowboxes or as stand-alone pieces. Amanda's work has been featured in publications like Country Living, Wed Luxe and Traditional Home. |
Some of the paintings in Amanda's portfolio include custom portraits of children, pets and homes. She also enjoys painting wedding bouquets and floral pieces. Any of these can be commissioned through Amanda's website.

In addition to her talents as a painter, Amanda recently published her first children's book. Titled "Color," the book is full of Amanda's drawings and teaches children about colors in a fun and simple way. She even incorporated a few elements for adults to make the book enjoyable for everyone.
